Costs of Vapor Blasting Services

As with any professional service, you usually get what you pay for.

You can help reduce your cost by having parts blasted before sending them to us, with the cost reduction dependent on the quality of the prep work. There’s unfortunately no way to determine how much prep work will be required until we receive the part. Pre-blasting needs to be done properly, preferably with 180 mesh or higher, aluminum oxide, or fine crushed glass, and has to have a consistent finish with no spots or other evidence of corrosion. Sometimes we receive parts that aren’t up to our standards and we have to repeat the prep process to achieve the best finished product possible.

We’re happy to send you a quote for your part in advance, but because of the high variability of quality we receive, this quote is sometimes a general estimate. If you have any questions, please send us an email at b.arnold@arnoldsdesign.com.

At Arnold’s Design, we don’t focus on production quotas. We understand the importance of each part you send in, and strive to produce the best finish so your bike, car, or antique treasures will stand out from the rest.

Before going with a rock bottom prices competitor, be sure to ask yourself how they’re able to achieve such low rates. Do they sacrifice quality for time-saving measures? Will your part come back to you with imperfect finishing? Does the competitor actually know what they’re doing with a vapor blasting gun? With Arnold’s Design, you don’t have to question anything. We KNOW how to produce a nearly perfect finish on virtually any part we receive.

Our rates are comparable to a sand blasting or soda blasting shop, and we try to keep our rates as economical as possible without sacrificing quality. Our 3-step process (cleaning, abrasive pre-blasting, and vapor blasting) is time-consuming and customized to each part and project we do, so there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
